[OM] Iowa Zuikofest Redux

On Saturday, Paul, Joel and I got together over in the Amana Colonies
to terrorize the locals with our cameras. It was a warm day and the
sun was beating down pretty hard on us. I had the jeep, they had their
Beemer bikes. They had to sweat it out in their helmets, I had
air-conditioning. Probably a fair tradeoff. While I was comfortable in
my climate-controlled cage, they were enjoying the curvy roads on the
bikes. Maybe it wasn't such a fair tradeoff...

On our last stop together, we were over in Brooklyn, Iowa (after
passing a parade of a zillion tractors--it's an Iowa thing, I guess).
Two particular subjects of interest is an old Catholic church building
and a park full of flags. Today's FPAW (Featured Picture of the Week)
is a recognizable symbol of the country of which I live.

This is a picture which I take every chance I can. It's funny how I
can't seem to get enough of this kind of picture. I guess everybody
has their quirks and this one is mine. The wierd thing is how
difficult it is to get all the elements to work to produce a decent
photo...

Photograph was taken with the Panasonic L1 with 14-50 zoom.
Auto-everything for this shot.
