Yes, the topic has changed, here quoted what Ken said:

"To the split-image focusing aid I go. The question is can the human
eye, using a 2-13 screen and a 24mm lens be able to selectively focus
on targets 4, 5 and 6 meters away? Without question, this
photographer is able to do it! And, frankly, it wasn't even
difficult. The microprism collar is not quite up to the task, but the
split-image was quite simple."

Even with E-PL1 12MP sensor at 14x liveview I only marginally able to
differentiate focus between 5 and 6 meter, I doubt the 7MP L1 can do better.
That lead to the question if focus error was happen in the DoF compare test
made by Ken with OM 24/2.8 and Leica 28-50/at 24mm. The 50mm lens was not
included in the original discussion.

It is well known that longer focal length lens is easier to focus on
focusing screen. That is the problem with 4/3 system, it is not only the
small viewfinder the major problem is one can't focus with wide lenses such
as 14mm but the equivalent (28mm) on FF is much easier.
