Rang an old friend of mine up who has done a lot for
me over the years, mainly just to make sure shes still
were she use to be, and that shes still into photography.
She is, and has been meaning to get into digital and
probably will when she can both afford it, and the local
chemist nolonger does processing.
I've packed up my very under utilised E-510 with its
two lens into its box, it all looks so new, probably
because I didnt have to unpack the batt, charger, leads
etc as I already had these out from another body.
The two zooms though unpacked, were probably only
used to check them when I bought the camera, as the
E-510 ended up with the OM adapter on it, and the E510
has only had 1,080 shutter activations, most of those
were with the slide adapter attached or as part of my
workshop macro setup.
Packed it all up and the courier picked it up yesterday
afternoon.
I put a personal note in the box, also told her that she
has to send me a copy of the first shot she takes with
it. (which will be either her dog, or her husband, the kids
live elsewere now).
Wish I'd put a voice activated recorder in the box as well
for when she opens it, as she has no idea whats going
to arrive on Monday in Western Australia :-)
Random acts of kindness give one a nice fuzzy feeling,
sometimes :-)
Now, I wonder what the E-5 specs are going to be when
its announced towards the end of September ?
