AS long as I can get plus x and provia and 160nc, I'll be just fine.

Interesting comment, Ed. I was thinking the same thing as I was looking
through the Freestyle "Christmas Catalog". Karen had to keep reminding me,
"not till we move and you have your darkroom."

The reality is, the finest films are still available. Those films which
serve an unique purpose are still there. Kodachrome, as good as it was, had
been superceded long ago for all but a few photographers.
Portra films got a much needed update and are as good as I could ask for. We
have the best B&W films--the cream which rose to the top is still floating
there.

Except for Tech Pan, of course.

Our options from Fuji and Kodak have declined, but we actually have more
"classic" and "unique" films available now than we have had in thirty years.
Visit Freestyle and see for yourself. You want chemicals? Go to
Photographers' Formulary. The best of the best is there. Paper? We didn't
have Adox MCC 110 two years ago.

Film photography might be turning into a cottage industry, but since film
photography is exiting the mainstream, it only makes sense.
Fortunately, this cottage industry might not be overly large in regards to
dollars, it is very large in options. I have more paper and film options now
than I ever had.
