This simply confirms what we already know from the OM system: Olympus has
really good optical engineers, decent other engineers, but really poor
product planning. They equally fall short in the compact category. It may be
that they just don't have enough money.

Agree, price and quality of the kit lens should be a factor.
Agree about the qualitiy of lenses offered by Olympus, but think that same
could be said for Pentax and Sony kits.

There remains one seriously killer feature of FourThirds. The one primary
reason to get/stay in the system: The lenses. When you consider
price/performance they are unmatched by any other system.
Where else can you pick up two pro bodies and a pair of lenses and get the
coverage that you can with Olympus?
