Well, UPS just brought my repaired E-30 back about 20 minutes ago.
You may remember I was having partially black images at shutter speeds
over 1/500, and only had a shutter actuation count of just under 13k.
I have already given her a go at 1/8000 on down, and she appears to be
working wonderfully. They reset everything, so I need to toy around with
the settings again. Maybe it's just because I have been shooting with
the E-510 these past 3 and 1/2 weeks, but the E-30 seems to be much more
responsive than I remember.
For the tech savvy on the list (all of you, and NOT me), here is what
the repair slip says:
Replaced gear case unit.
Firmware updated to latest version.
Checked all functions and cleaned.
I am so happy to have her home!!! :-)
