On getting her back to where she's supposed to be after the factory
reset: Be sure to step through all the menu entries as a reminder of
what you might have changed from the factory settings. When I got my 5D
back from Canon recently I at first didn't realize that everything had
been reset. It was briefly confusing as to why the camera wasn't
behaving as expected. I shortly figured that out. But I didn't
remember very well all of the things I had changed. Consequently, I
didn't step through all the menu items as I just suggested you do and it
was probably 3 weeks before I had found and reset everything that needed
to be reset working only on items as I discovered them. Not conducive
to spontaneous photography.
