Pretty much. I've got some LL Bean boots I wear when slogging through wet
terrain, and during the winter I'm wearing Bean boots of another flavor. What I
have to have is extra, really extra wide to compensate for a freakishly high
instep. Nike, for example, won't fit at all. I can't get the laces close enough
to tie.
