Ctein thinks pretty highly of the iPad screen. What bites, though, is
the auto-dimming which will throw the viewing experience off. When
being picky, I turn the auto-dimming off and crank the snot out of the
brightness which seems to be about right.

As a proofing tool, the iPad really is slick. I've handed the iPad
with image files over to a client and they flip through the images to
pick the ones they want. It's a very comfortable experience for
them--almost, but not quite as good as a "real" proof book.

Since it's been a few hours without mentioning my favorite apps:

1. Emerald Observatory. Best $1.00 you'll ever spend for the iPad.
2. ReaddleDocs.
3. TPE The Photographers Ephemeris.
4. X-Plane-9. (gotta play once in a while)
5. 3D Sun.
6. Topos2Go (free or paid)
7. Satellite Tracker
8. Satellite Watcher
9. Wi-Fi Finder
10. and others I don't have time at the moment to tell about...
