Hmm, yes, I take your point, John (having seen the photo of a dilapidated
wreck) (of the Tower, not John, nor me).

It evidently sleeps two, and is owned by the Landmark Trust (which relocated
and renovated it). The trust has a number of unusual buildings in its care,
all of which are rented out to provide income for upkeep and so forth. The
building which "sets the tone" was one of their first projects - The
Pineapple, of which they say "Though classical and orthodox at ground level,
it grows slowly into something entirely vegetable; conventional architraves
put out shoots and end as prickly leaves of stone. It is an eccentric work,
of undoubted genius, built of the very finest masonry."

ple

Sleeps 4, from GBP220 for a 4-night stay. No connection!

Piers ........I just sent you off-list the photo I took in the summer of
2005. It was definitely not in a fit state to rent back then. Even nowadays,
what is it rented for? It looks just big enough for a wedding ceremony with
the couple, the priest and a witness !
