Yes, I thought that it was a bit too enthusiastic as well but there's something 
special about marble, really special. When sculpted well, the stone flows in a 
very strange way.
Ron Mueck is astonishing but I also disagree with the silly description of him 
as 'hyper-realist'. (Hyper - hype).
True realism would involve human scale, not Brobdingnagian monsters. Some of 
his work does this - a statue of his father I think was one - but he is known 
for his far more unrealistic work.
Awesome stuff.
