His stuff is pretty clever. For instance, a lot of his hoods are two-piece
featuring a mounting ring, a screw in shade section and the ability to mount
filters both on the ring and front of the shade - in different sizes. Some of
the hoods are well over $100 but they are pretty spiffy kit.
He also stocks the very hard to find genuine hood for the mFT 9-18mm lens, the
rectangular plastic one that costs about $60! Oh, and the lens itself for some
reason. Odd. I got the hood elsewhere slightly cheaper but it was a long and
annoying search.

I just bought the Perar Super triplet as a Chrissie pressie for myself as I
simply could not resist the concept -

I am hopeless but I told myself that I can probably get most of my money back
if I want to. Miyazaki-san has built three original lenses now, all with runs
of 2-300. A 50mm f1.3, a 50mm f3.5 and now this 35mm f3.5. I'd love to find a L
mount 50/1.3 but that's unlikely.

He's a remarkable character. The lens may be no better than a collapsible Elmar
I suspect but incredibly compact and clever. Who could resist a tantalum
triplet? Hoods again - the lens comes, apparently with caps, hood and a hood
cap that doubles as a back cap as I understand it. That's thinking. They've
upped production from a planned 180 to a massive 200, all personally assembled
by the man himself.
