I would agree that the Lowepro Minitrekker is a good sized bag. It is my
most used one.

The Lowepro Microtrekker works good for a light OM kit but is too small for
a Canon dslr and a couple lenses.

The Lowepro Vertex 200 has a heavier belt etc than the Minitrekker and can
carry a lot of gear (about as much as I would normally carry). It can fit
into overhead compartments on domestic flights. Might be beyond the tighter
limits sometimes imposed on international flights. I'm quite happy with this
bag but often don't want to carry as much equipment as it holds.

The Lowepro ProTrekker I have (similar to ProTrekker 400?) is a heavy bag
that when fully loaded with camera gear probably reaches the max weight I
can carry. It is built to carry the weight. I can't imagine it being
accepted as carry-on luggage.

The Lowepro backpacks typically open completely up when they are laying on
the ground. This makes it easy to quickly get to anything/everything.

The Lowepro Omni Trekker Pro is basically a rectangular camera suitcase with
an over the shoulder strap and possibly lightweight backpack straps which
would be useless for carrying the weight. Great for keeping surplus gear
organized. Good for short trips from the car. Using the shoulder strap, I
carried one roughly 1500 feet up a Yosemite canyon wall, maybe 4 or 5 miles
round trip. I don't think I would want to carry it any further, although
that was partly because I was carrying a tripod mounted Canon dslr and LF
camera that wouldn't fit in the already full bag.

I still like my Lowepro minitrekker. I see they go quite cheaply on
yabe.
I tend to overload it and use it more for a lugging pack than backpack,
but if I take out the
inessential in the room for a hike, it is fine. Some of the many
straps would be better if removable.

Never seem to have the perfect combination of
gear toting thingies though.
