Chris, with 1500 pages or so, a CMS would be THE most practical way to
go. But like you, I'm overwhelmed by the thought of converting the
existing site over to a new platform. Unfortunately, for me, the
decision to build it in Mambo seemed like a good decision at the time,
but the platform development has pretty well died. Drupal is, for me,
a verycompelling choice moving forward. Drupal really allows the
uploading of new content in ways (like from cellphones) that
revolutionize the site. It also supports mobile viewing and multiple
languages...
