I live in a small market with high prices. I do when I can but...that's why I
have a B&H account. :-)
As an example -I bought a new little MacBook Air late last year. Online from
Apple with an education discount. It was shipped from China. If I were you,
buying it in the US with the same spec and a highish state tax (i.e. 9% as
against the 10% here) it would have cost me $300 less - and probably have
shipped from the same warehouse in Shanghai.
And the local retailers are grumbling about people buying online.
