Yes, but with digital process, the weakness of lenses at wide open can be 
compensated very well. For most lenses I have tested the resolution at wide 
open and stop down are very close, with wide open shots softer and higher 
vignetting. Soft images will be improved with LCE and sharpen. Of course the 
stopped down images are still visible better but the difference will be much 
less when compared to the traditional prints.

On the other hand my Zuiko 35/2.8 sample is not that good at the center 
while the edges are comparative ok, this is rare seen on other Zuikos I 
have.
