It is available but again, archaic stilted and overly formal in most 
situations. It's also a bit pretentious. That should deal with him! :-)
According to my Shorter OED, even Shakespeare wrote it with an apostrophe - 
'Till - which suggests that it has alway been a contraction of until - and I've 
seen 'til used in this way.
Leave it where it belongs - in poetry, preferably before the 19th Century.
