Ah, cute. We have lots of little skinks around here, but you're
quicker or more patient than me with the dashing little buggers. The
geckos are theoretically slower, but their gymnastics put them in
awkward places to get to. I love the lizzies and friends.

Incidentally, today (and for the third time sunning in what is
obviously his regular spot) we rode past (about 3' away from) a
largish water dragon, about 2' foot or more long. I've not bothered to
stop for a photo yet...I'll try be patient enough next time.

Also, regarding your followup post, "remnebts" is my favourite new
word. I'm going to define it as the broken, physical remains of a
domestic disaster that has at least left one in debt to the Fates that
spare one's own person and family from harm. :)
