Yes,
It seems no one likes the idea--spoke with John Cress (of 
Flashbulbs.com)  about this and other stuff and he always uses manual, 
but did not know
about the OM2 or 2N specifically.  Looking at the light output curve on 
these monsters, I don't see why the TTL metering won't work.
What is one of Andrew's favorites?---"Subvert the dominant paradigm".  
I think the light gets funky towards the end of the burn
and perhaps that's why they want one to use manual, but that is a total 
guess.  The GN's change with shutter speed so one can modulate expose 
with that somewhat
but the ambient/ flash balance likely doesn't change that much. We'll 
see.  I will fire 2 to 3 at once and it will be my first flash shot at 
F16 or so.
I may have to issue eye protection to the guests.
