That might have been me :-).
It was a wonderful occasion. I hate crowds, or being part of a crowd, but it
was wonderful to be on Whitehall, listening to the service (it felt as if it
was being broadcast to the whole city) and following the prayers and hymns.
And I reckon the whole of London sang the National Anthem.
After watching the beautiful ladies go past (Kate with her new husband, then
her sister Pippa in a separate landau with the bridesmaids) we made it through
the crowds to the Mall and Buckingham Palace to watch the kiss. Then we went
for a cuppa at the RAF Club on Piccadilly before returning for the departure
from the Palace in that cool Volante.
It was a good day for a many, many people, and I'm glad that you managed to
pick it up Over There. I saw a Range Rover with NZ1 as a number plate a couple
of times, being escorted around by whistle-blowing police motorcyclists.
