I'm glad that saying I was off was the last thing I did before going off line
for five days. So I didn't see this or any
other responses 'til late last night.

I'm especially glad I didn't have such a challenge hanging over me all week.
:-) I put quite enough pressure on
myself, thanks.

No competition there. Obviously, I don't have the resources for such a shot.
Much more importantly, at least to me, I
wouldn't go more than a handful of feet out of my way for such a shot. Just not
my 'thing'. Driving along a two lane
with no shoulder, spot what looks like a waterfall up through some trees and -
yup, I pull off at the first available
place, jump out and start uphill on the road at a good clip. Certainly I must
disagree with Edward Weston about what's
photogenic! Was it worth it? Results to follow.

As to something to put up against NG? Hmmm, tastes vary, but how about
something rather abstract, even hard to identify?
Like maybe this image, easily seen by anyone passing by on the valley loop
road, taken well within Weston's limit with
fairly ordinary equipment.
