No problem, Bob. More film gear for the rest of us. The G12 is a sweet
kinda-little camera for what it is. Wierd, though, because I think
it's a neither fish nor fowl type of camera. It has the best image
quality for a compact, but is still hampered by the fact it is a
compact which isn't compact. So, the image-quality, although very
good, isn't up to what a larger-sensored camera has. Being not so
compact (but reasonably portable) the camera is just large enough that
you wish that the image quality was just a hint better to justify
hauling it around.

The above is also my main grouse with 4/3 and m4/3 cameras. Image
quality is decent, but not consumerate with the size of the cameras.

As to the software, I've used it off and on through the years (I do
have some Canon products) and find it competent and decent. The
problem is that, just like any manufacturer's software (except for
Phase One), the software will only RAW convert a single-brand of
files. Stick with Lightroom.
