That's the first thing I tried and that's the one that thinks I'm a Unix 
kind of guy.  I wasn't at all sure about the disk ID it was giving me 
and couldn't be sure that I wouldn't write the recovered data right back 
to the problem disk.  I killed the process before it had a chance to run.
