Piers,

I just viewed the book online and must say that I think it's an absolute
marvel! A must have for all inhabitants and tourists who loved the place
when visiting. I might one day, hoping to make only one of those fine
photo's. Seems like a beautiful place to live. Might also be hard to find a
fitting job though.

And I, now back in my Caledonian bolt-hole, can vouch for Chuck being a
generally all-round good guy with whom to pass a weekend. Dr Flash, however,
was something of a disappointment, because he was a no-show - maybe the
synchronisation was wrong.

The happen-stance that my trip down to London coincided with cataclysmic
weather back home was an unexpected benefit - double the average monthly
rainfall in a few hours on Saturday was a sight I am glad to have missed.

Since Chuck mentioned the book, there is a preview of it here:

But please note the recommendation not to order through Blurb, but to follow
the links on that page to buy a locally-printed copy direct.

This year's International Zuiko Fest was held in London over the weekend.
Unfortunately, Chris Barker was not able to attend but Chuck Norcutt and
Piers Hemy (the only attendees) had a great time. We made it into London
for a bit of walkabout and spent a few hours in the British Museum. There
was not much photography done as we were having such a good time just
gabbing, pub visiting and brew and spirits drinking.

Piers presented me with a lovely photo book of his home territory on the
Black Isle in northern Scotland. Absolutely lovely place. Perhaps I'll get
a chance to visit it in person some day.
