I think that you might be wrong on both counts, Andrew.  I use my iPad for 
documents as well as reading stuff on the Internet.  I don't have a ready 
connection at work but I am still using the iPad for all manner of useful stuff 
-- database, graphics and documents.

And I understand that you can use the Kindle to browse the web; I understand 
that it has a basic browser and that the 3G version will connect in a great 
number of places, for no extra payment.  In fact, I am trying to work out a way 
to persuade my wife to buy one.
