Here are my grouches about Chrome, cf slightly older versions of Opera.
I note that recent versions of Opera mimic Chrome, so I uninstalled them.

And I do appreciate that Chrome handles some modern code very well.

Anyway, here's my long list of complaint ...

Doesn't show how much (%) of the document is loaded
Or how many elements,
or the total size loaded,
Or the d/l speed
or the time taken so far to download the current page / image
.............................................
Doesn't show where, at any instant, the page / computer is being connected
to

Doesn't have a drop-down menu of the most important URLs

Doesn't remember where you stored stuff last

Doesn't have a % size resizer facility for pages and images
..................................................
Does not enable "View Source" (code) for the page being viewed
....................................................
Doesn't have the many usual file facilities
...................................................
Does impose it's damned logo on file and page types, and defeats the
Windows protocol for user setting of these
................................
Its bookmarks system is very clunky / awkward compared with Opera's
..................................................
Transfers, History, Links, Detailed preferences, Cache, Error console, Java
console, Page security info are all missing
..................................
Doesn't seem to have a Help button
...........................
Chrome updater - who knows what is being updated?
Given Google's propensity for data mining, and that a newly installed
Chrome was using the internet for its own purposes for what seemed to be
ages, I don't trust it one iota.
