     Pure rubbish.  Teaching that pitch controls speed and throttle controls 
climb/descent is basic flying instruction that you learn before your first 
flight.  You'll find it taught in such rudimentary instruction books as "Stick 
and Rudder".  It does NOT require an autopilot, just basic knowledge of flying 
dynamics.
