I have received an extra e-film aftermarket battery when I bought my E-1
back in 2005. Worked fine for a few years, but with a little less power.
Bought an extra charger and original battery for a song and both still work
fine. Received another original BLM-1 with my E-3, still works fine. Last
year I bought 3 aftermarket batteries from the same supplier that I bought
my Eneloops from. The Eneloops are great, the aftermarket BLM-1 are pure
junk. Even after full charging sometimes only 5 frames before it stops
working. One of the three seems to charge fine, but does not power up the
E-3 to take a picture.

Conclusion: 3 originals still work fine after 3 to 6 years, 4 aftermarket
one's don't after 1 to 6 years.

No more aftermarket BLM-1's for me.

Peter,

I purchased a pair of aftermarket batteries, but, after hearing of the
problems some folks have experienced with them, and at the urging of Chuck
Norcutt, I bought an Olympus product. I rotate my three batteries through 2

Olys, keeping one as a fully charged reserve, and have never had a problem.
