It is possible to stream HDTV through wi-fi but you need a server- a 
computer with TV card, I'm using dvbviewer to watch and record TV programs. 
Dvbviewer can stream video, you need another computer as client, it does not 
work just with a wi-fi TV.

You can use similar device as below for wireless HDMI connection, a bit 
expensive though.
