Right you are, Ed. The lens was a vintage 1949 Leitz Summitar, wide open.
The picture is a crop from the right edge, blown up to 1:1 and sharpened
slightly.

I love what this lens does to specular highlights--it makes them look like
little dish antennae. It's a way to be (ahem) cool and edgy using only
optical means.
