I love stories with endings like this. Unfortunately, my scanner is a
Polaroid SS4000 with no USB option, only SCSI-2. I have a PC card
adapter that I used to use in a Dell laptop that worked fine. Those
things are long gone on newer laptops. If I can find that card adapter
I might just keep my old Dell laptop for the purpose of scanning. I
need to do some cleaning ...
