You won't want to hear this, but to get good, reliable and repeatable 
processing, you need someone with a Dip 'n' Dunk machine with carefully 
monitored chemistry.

I also have a Phototherm processor, which is extremely easy to use. I
haven't tried C-41 in it yet, just E-6 and B&W. The company is still
around and supporting them and I just got the 4x5 film holder for it,
which I am looking forward to trying out.
