The reality is that it's still the least expensive option for most of us.
I just scanned a shot I took in Italy a few years ago. Latest version
of Vuescan (Jan 19, 2012) and the Nikon V-ED as well as editing it in
the latest/greatest version of Picture Window Pro. Digital is better,
but this is still mighty fine. And my 24mm lens has the right
coverage.
