I can't speak for OM-EF adapters, but perhaps Mike is thinking of
OM-4/3 adapters. OM lenses with the rear protusion to protect rear
elements which project outside the lens mount are a problem, because
the protrusion and chip both need to occupy the same space when
mounting lens to adapter.
