Yes, it would be better, if only because at some future date it might be placed 
in front of a sensor with higher resolution, and actuated with less vibration.

In the real world though, it doesn't matter if one lens scores 100% and its 
competitor scores 70% in a perfect test of the lenses themselves, if both of 
the lenses only score 50% due to how they are used in real life. There would 
not be much difference in the 100/2.8, 100/2, 85/2, 90/2, etc., if their only 
use was to be duct taped to the front of a Diana.

I did actually preface it with a question about that. If a lens happens to be 
technically better than another, but the rest of the system interferes then is 
it actually better?
