However, be mindful of my previous caveat.  I want to be cautious.  I
find the adapter not to be "off", which is not the same thing as
assurance that it is dead on. It tends to give assurance to my manual
focusing and I am happy with that.  I am not entirely sure what it would
be like if I were *entirely* dependent upon it to get critical focus. 
At this point, I really can't tell if any inaccuracies are to be blamed
on the adapter or on me continuing to turn the ring a little too far and
not stopping when I should.  That's how close it is.  I hope that makes
sense.

As far as the mechanics are concerned, I think it will pass muster with
a picky guy like Chuck, but only just.  It is quite tight on my 50/1.2
and the pin drops in to the lock, but the tab release button on the lens
doesn't quite pop all the way back up.  On other lenses, it is just
about perfect.  My 50/1.2 is actually a lens I bought new just a few
years ago and it's still in training. :)
