Mike, thanks for that piece of news about Kodak. I use their film in my
OM-4T almost exclusively, and don't know what I'd do if I lost Tri-X
(probably drink a lot, followed by a good cry).

As for the OM-D, haters gonna hate, but if the sensor is at least as good
as the GX1/G3, with Oly jpegs and decent enough video, then it will be
exactly the camera I've been looking for, and then some. Weather sealing,
an excellent selection of primes (my PannyLeica 25/1.4 can't WAIT to mount
a black EM-5, you know what I mean wink wink nudge nudge), 9 frames per
second shooting (seriously, that's NUTS), dramatically improved
autofocus...I think I'm gonna faint. On top of that, word is the shutter
will be rated for 100k actuations, and Olympus is considering PRO support
for this camera, which should show what they think of it (per Facebook Q&A
session today).

I've really been able to get a lot out of my EP-2 (informal
engagement/portrait sessions, event photography) but it did take a while
for me to understand the camera and how to get the best out of it. For me,
the two primary limitations are low light autofocus and dynamic range (i.e.
blown highlights). Dynamic range can be overcome with good technique, off
camera fill flash, and post processing, but low light
autofocus...fortunately, the OM-D has an autofocus assist light (hooray!).
My one major gripe is that it's not shipping until April (going to Hawaii
end of the month, really would like to have it for that trip).

$1000 represents excellent value for this camera, especially if it does get
Pro support from Olympus. I suspect it will also drive down the price of
the EP-3, which is by all accounts another fantastic camera (one I was
planning on getting before the OM-D was announced). Viva Oly!
