Hmm _I_ saw a nice Tamron 2x converter on that auction site yesterday. With
25 bidders, it went for USD380 #220946599128 - yes, there is no missing
decimal point. Granted it was the super-duper 200F, but curiously at the
same time one went in UK for a mere USD126 #280819288726 (but it was a
UK-only sale).

Mamiya Sekor SLRs used M42 Pentax thread, did they not? Or is this a
converter for Medium format?

I spotted a beautiful looking Soligor 2X converter and leather case for
Mamiya Sekor in the local Goodwill store last week.  The price listed was $7
but they were having a 50% off sale.  But I don't have a Mamiya-Sekor and
AFAIK it's still there.
