Indeed the new flash that is being released with the OM-D does have
additional functionality...........
It has a Movie Light.
The FL50R will work on the OM-D's hot shoe.
Additionally the flash supplied with the OM-D, FL-LM2, is set up to talk to
the FL36R and FL50R in wireless mode.
