I've recently scanned Kodachrome on both the Polaroid SS4000 and Epson
V600. On both machines, I noticed improvement over previous sessions
(entirely done with the SS4000 previously). In other words, the
difference is not the Epson over the SS4000 but something in Vuescan.

Among other things, I had thought IR cleaning was not supposed to work
with KM, but it certainly does on the Epson. (SS4000 doesn't have the
feature.) But the color balance on the SS4000 seems perfect now,
whereas it was always a bit off before, needed tweaks, etc.
