In some countries, it's illegal to discipline your children... That
wouldn't work here.

The choker chains are another story. There are inherent safety issues
involved with them and it's been demonstrated time and again that a
dog that won't respond to other forms of control won't respond to a
choker either. In fact, with some breeds, it only increases
aggressiveness to the point of injury or death.

I don't mean to be biased about this, but the typical dog that you'd
put a choker chain on is probably too dumb to correlate the pain with
the action.
