Investigate bulk ink and refill your own cartridges. We buy MIS ink
for our Canon 9000. Our cost is under $1.50 per refill as opposed to
$15 per new cartridge.

This is a dye based ink, and they claim 4 oz. bottle ($6) will refill 10
times, lowering your cost to $0.60 per cartridge.
