Alright, I might be exaggerating. I recently replaced my 50/1.4 (>1.1m  
serial) - which I donated to my younger brother - with a *new*,  
manufactured in 2002, OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.2. I am seriously wowed by  
this lens, and its character. It is so incredibly compact (not much  
larger than a 50/1.4). You can see this was "top of the line",  
reputation-building stuff. Again, wow.

I'm not trawling for a Moose full bokeh analysis, I just want to share  
with you guys some recent images showing what this lens can do:

The off-axis aberrations even at f/1.2 are kept seriously under  
control for the purposes of making nice analogue prints (no digital  
pixel-peeping here). This is one *very* good lens. As good as Canon's  
50mm f/1.2L? No (I should hope not). But close. And so much smaller  
and nicer-feeling.
