Hi Chris,

Thanks for the kind words.

The focusing cloth helps me to better see the controls on the back of the 
camera, as well as the viewfinder, when I am in bright sunlight.  It also 
hides my head and shoulders, so the subjects tend to ignore my presence.  I 
have never built a true "blind", but I recalled that I had my late 
father-in-law's focusing cloth from his 1940s studio setup.  I just put it 
to use.
