When switching on the Fuji X10, it takes a couple of seconds for the display to 
show the scene as a normal exposure; while it is "calming down" it looks 
over-exposed or washed-out.  As a result I can't switch on, raise the camera to 
my eye and press the shutter release in too short a time.

I might tackle the retailer to see what it's experience of the X10 might mean 
for mine: is it u/s?  The salesman to whom I spoke a week ago had not heard of 
the sensor exchange.
