Indeed, it doesn't.  But the solution is to pick up a refurbished XP 
machine which can be had very cheaply.  Attach the scanner to the XP 
machine and the XP machine to your local network.  You could pick one of 
these for from $100-180.

The second one says it's sold out.  But the stock changes all the time. 
  You will need some sort of monitor.  The Intel graphics cards included 
on all of them are good for 2048x1536 resolution at 75 Hz.
But they only produce sRGB, no Adobe RGB which your Eizo might support.
