I missed Chris's comment. Respectfully disagree. Maybe you had to have been
there. But it was obvious after they left that I had been strung along and
used. It's happened before. I think there's a world of difference between being
friendly and responsive to customers, and conducting mini-seminars for which
any professional would reasonably expect to be paid. Maybe it's my fault for
being so gregarious, but it's obvious to me I have to draw the line somewhere.
I think Bill's suggestion for some kind of mini-seminar at the weekend might be
just the ticket.

The thing that set me off was that they came in with one photo in mind as a
favorite. The wife found the print and set it aside. When they were starting to
take their leave, she asked him if he wanted to buy it. He asked where it would
go. She told him. He looked at me and said words to the effect, "I don't know.
I've bought on vacation before and then wound up putting it in the closet.
We'll be back next year." He must not have liked the print nearly as much as he
professed while pumping me for information.

There's a word for that kind of individual: "The word is "dick." I will
withdraw the aspersion if indeed they return next year and buy something.
