All colors in Guatemala are super-saturated. That's why most of my
Guatemala photos are color and most Honduras photos are B&W. The Mayan
women grow their own cotton, dye the thread, and weave the material on a
back-strap loom. They take pride in using brilliant colors. Every village
has it's own color scheme and you can tell by the colors a woman wears
which village she is from. It takes about three months to weave and
embroider a huipil (blouse). The women usually only have one huipil that
they wear right side out for church and meetings and wrong side out to work
around the house.

Bob does have an excellent lens - the Noctilux - my favorite ;-)
