Yes, I've mixed in AEL, which can't be locked on the 5D, and confused
the discussion. Moose seems to have tracked me, though. You're quite
right about when it is switched over to do the focusing, I'm sure. I
don't use much of anything but Zuikos on the 5D so AFL is not something
I look for on the 5D.
The 5D is less sophisticated on AE lock because the lock does not
persist from one shot to the next. Not much of a lock. It's the only
major annoyance I have with the body though.
