Well, since zeiss lenses aren't made in China and the wipes and cleaner is, 
don't know. I prefer the glass cleaner made for autos. And newer coatings 
are harder. But what about our old OM lenses?

But are contemporary coatings the same as those older ones? Just as lens 
designs have changed, coatings have changed.

Why would one not use contemporary lens cleaning formulation(s) from (a) 
major lens maker(s)?
